Image problems

I'm working on a Web site from directly off the server.

When I try to insert an image from my hard drive, the image appears as a
white box with a red X. Then when I save the page, the Save Embeded files
window doesn't come up.

Then, when I visit the page on another computer, it gives the same white box
with X. I looked at the source code and it appears to be trying to get the
image off my hard drive rather than the Web server.

Any ideas on why this is?

Try importing the image into your live web's image directory from your hard
drive (File>Import). Then, after the image is resident on your server, you
can drag it and drop it into place.

I have a similar problem. Images are all saved in the image folderf and the
site is published via ftp. All okay for a long time. Now something has
happened where all images saved in the images folder result in same box with
x unless I pull the images out of the folder and just have tem in the main
directory.

Double check the case of the folder / file name as compared the links in your pages.
