Image quality

Hi, when I do a Insert document as picture, with an excel spreadsheet, ON
brings in the spreadsheet but the image is dim, not crisp like in Excel. Is
there any way around this. The hold is true but to a lesser degree when I
bring in .tif files into ON. I like ON but the overal dimness of images of
files is somewhat disconerting.

On other thing, if I inserting a lot of files into ON but ones that live in
some other folder and sub folder on my hard drive -- besides ON's -- so
here's the problem. Each time I go to import the next file, ON never
remembers the last place I just visited, it always starts the process in My
Documents. This is anoying and not in line with Excel or Word, both of which
will remember the last sub folder I saved to or opened something up in.

Thanks
Steve

Steve,

If you use Insert | Picture | From File do you still see these
problems for image files such as TIFFs?

I assume that you are using Insert Document as Picture for Excel. Is
that correct? Then, yes, an Excel spreadsheet is visibly dimmer. The
same occurs (with different specifics) if you screen clip from Excel.
The "white" background in OneNote is greyer than in Excel so would
appear dimmer.

But with Insert | Picture | From File I don't see any dimness in image
files - and I have spent lots of time in various versions of Photoshop
etc in past lives.

Also using Insert | Picture | From File I am taken back to the
directory I used to insert a previous image.

Andrew,
I think the image is not dimmer when I use the insert image from a file like
you suggested. I wonder if there is a way to print an excel file to an
image, or is there a way to make the one Note page more white, so that the
excel spreadsheet will not appear dim?
Thanks so much
Steve
