Image Sizes in Word document: repost

L

Lee Harris

Does anyone know why two images, both exactly the same pixel size would
appear very different when inserted into a word document. I don't know if
it's word somehow thinking they are different resolutions or something but
it is something that has caused me a few problems, I've had to manually
resize images which should be exactly the same size (all 100*80 pixels as
reported in Paint Shop Pro)
tks in advance

no reply the first time, so am reposting.
Another point I should have mentioned, when you do Insert->Image and browse
for it
the little preview window shows the images up to be different, ie one looks
bigger than the other, despite them both being the same pixel size of 100*80
pixels.

You might attract more responses in microsoft.public.word.drawing.graphics.

but it is directly related to my page layout, hence when I saw this NG I
posted here, are you saying this is off topic?

I suppose I ought to have looked a bit harder, maybe there is a
microsoft.public.word.pagelayout.images.sizing.oracle group ;-)

No, I'm saying that the people who are likely to know the answer to your
question hang out in word.drawing.graphics. Bob Buckland, for example, does
not, I think, read this NG. It's entirely possible that someone who does
read it will be able to answer your question, but you're more likely to get
the answer you need in word.drawing.graphics.
