Image transfer to Word 2007 for Windows

In opening documents in Windows Word 2007 which were created in Word 2004 for the Mac and which have TIFF or JPEG embedded images, only the frame appears with the message "Quicktime and a decompressor are needed to see this picture". Windows Word technical support is aware of this problem but considers it to be a MacIntosh unit issue not a Windows unit problem. My only solution is to send the images separately (but not in Word) to my clients and ask them to insert them in place of the empty frame or to switch to Windows for all such documents and do the insert routine before I send them out. Not good for me or business!!!

Has anyone got a fix for this?

Try this: either send, or have your people download, this:

http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/

Equally important, use Insert> Picture - From File rather than bypassing
Word's import filters, which is what happens when you copy/paste or drag
images into documents.

BTW: Nobody's tier 1 tech support ever considers anything to be "their"
problem unless they absolutely have to :)
