images can't be opened by windows users

Stephanie

Hi,

I have a word (v.X) document that contains some images - charts from
excel, paste specialed as pictures, that have been grouped - in a word
document.

It looks fine on my mac, and can be opened ok by another mac, however
when sent to windows systems when the file opens there are blank spaces
where the images should be, or boxes with a lttle cross.

I have tried saving as .rtf, which when opened in windows results in all blank
spaces where pictures shoul be.

Can anyone help with this?

thankyou,
stephanie

Hi Stephanie:

Not really. The images are being saved as PICT files, and your PC user has
not installed the PICT import filter.

Tell the PC person to apply the latest service release for Office: that will
install the filter for them.

Cheers
