Images created on Windows ppt system don't translate to Mac

I just purchased the latest version of Powerpoint 2004. When trying to
view class slides I was unable to correctly view certain equations.
The equations were translated as images and where the numerical terms
are supposed to be located grey boxes are substituted. I can view the
slides onn a windows system perfectly. Can I do anything to view the
images correctly?

Hi,

Try double-clicking the equation images and see if they display OK.

Jim,

Double-clicking doesn't seem to change anything...it just opens the
"Format Picture" dialog. The macintosh version of powerpoint views
these equations as images. I'm not sure how these equations were
created orginially...although I know it was on a windows platform. I
adjusted the transparency settings of the picture, but this doesn't
change anything.

Thanks for your help,

Robert

Hi,

If the pictures were embedded Microsoft Equation Editor objects, when
you double-click them chances are they would display properly.

It sounds like they are just pictures. There have been some previous
threads about some photo incompatibilities. It might take an update to
PowerPoint to resolve this problem.
