Images folder?

I just published and everything is coming along
OK. Right after I published I read about storing your
pictures in the Images folder, so at my website in
Frontpage I moved 10 jpg images (that were listed
individually and used in the Photo Gallery) into the
Images folder. I then published this change and when
I went to my web site on the internet, in the Photo
Gallery I got an error message instead of an
enlargement when I clicked on the thumbnails.
I went back to Frontpage, dragged the pictures
back out of the Images folder, published the change,
and my Photo Gallery worked again.
Will somebody please explain the proper use of
the Images folder. Evidently it doesn't publish.

It does publish, and it's a good place to keep your images..in fact I have sub folders within Images to further organize my images.

But...(there's always a but) once you generate your photogallery you shouldn't mess/move/rename any of the files FP creates for that gallery.

When you moved the pictures, did you do it in FrontPage, and after opening
your site as a site? If so, FrontPage *should* have fixed all the picture
locations in your HTML.

Other than that, try running Recalcualte Hyperlinks or (last resort)
re-adding the pictures to the Photo Gallery.

You may want to test by right clicking the link in the Photo Gallery and
edit the address to click for the larger image something similar to;

javascriptpenWindow('../images/photo1.jpg',717,538);
