Images in MS Word

Hi Rick,

You didn't mention the Word version, and I'm assuming you're using Insert=>Picture to add pictures and you're not in "Normal"/Draft
view.

You may have 'picture placeholders' turned on to check/change:

Through Word 2003 Tools=>Options=>View

Word 2007 (Alt, T, O, A) then scroll to the 'Show Document content' area.

Has anyone ever had a problem inserting images in MS Word where the image
appears as a whited out box? In fact I'm not sure Word recognizes it as an
image (dosen't matter whether it's a jpeg, bmp, etc. ) because when I right
click on the image it does not list formatting options as usaual. Any
thoughts?>>

Hey Bob,
Thanks for the tips and feedback. The version of Word is '03 SP2. I have
tried it with 'picture/ placeholders' on or off with the same result. It is
pretty odd since I am a Word poweruser and it is the first time I have had
this issue, especially in a document that I have already inserted numerous
pictures into. Anyway, thanks for your help. Any other ideas please let me
know.

Rick
