Images in outlook signatures appear as attachments on yahoo and ot

Is there a way of composing outlook signature (with image) so the image will
not appear as an attachment on different email clients (ie yahoo mail,
hotmail, web cemail clients)?
I tried embedding the image in the email as well as linking the image from
WWW, and it’ll display it correctly, but the image used in the signature will
also show as attachment "img0001.jpg"
Is there a way of preventing it from happening? Or this issue depends on
email client used to read the email?
