I've created a simple website in MS Word 2000 which includes photos in
JPG format. I uploaded the site and the photos would not display -
just a blank box with a small red x.

Can anyone help? Non techie answers only please. I know nothing about
html and was hoping to use MS Word.

many thanks

Hi, fizz.
Did you upload the images folder too? That's probably what you need to do.
Suppose you uploaded the Word HTML file to something like a folder called
www. Under that folder, you need a folder called "images" and that's where
you put the images. Images are NOT embedded in HTML files like they can be
in Word files. When you save as HTML an Images folder should have been
created too. Upload it. :)

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your reply Anne.

Unfortunately I could not find an images folder - so I created one!
Called it Images - filled it with the photos for my site and then
uploaded it.

But the photos still do not display!

Obviously I'm doing something wrong here.....

when I created the initial website in MS Word - I saved it as an htm
file. I did not see a seperate file or folder called images.

Perhaps you can talk me thru it?

many thanks
