Images not displaying in Word 2003.

I am trying to add images to my Word 2003 docs. I have done a lot of this
type of activity before using Office 2000. I have not had these issues until
using Office 2003. Images do not display or only partly display in Word, or
suddenly snap into view. I have tried:
1. resizing the window
2. pasting in images
3. inserting picture files
4. making sure placeholders for images are not set.
5. Enabled/Disabled the Canvas
6. images as inline
7. Images as floating
8. changing views
9. Clicking my ruby slippers and turning around counter-clockwise 3 times
Still to no avail.

What is going on.? Is this a memory problem?

Try reducing the hardware acceleration setting in Start | Control
Panel | Display | Settings | Advanced | Troubleshooting. If this
fixes the problem, then you might want to check the website of
the manufacturer of your video card/graphics adapter to see if
there is an updated driver available.

Your suggestion worked!! Thank You. I bumped the acceleration down a notch,
opened the offending Word doc and voila! The images displayed properly and
no longer disapperared. Now I'm off to check on the 2nd part of your
suggestion...see if there is an updated driver for my video card/graphics
adapter. Thanks again!
