images not showing up in drawing

Steve

I have a drawing that had some images inserted into it, however some of the
images are not showing up in the drawing after it is opened. When the file
is selected in the folder, it does show the images in the preview. When
everything in the drawing is selected, there seems to be a place holder of
where the image should be (a magenta lined box). Any Ideas? Is it a bug when
converting, or are certain images types affected by this and not others? I
do have other drawings that do not have this problem. We did recently upgrade
to '07, but I don't know if the problem was occuring prior.

thank you,
Steve

How many pictures and what format are they in? If you select the picture and
attempt to open it what happens? It could be caused by the size of the image
and a limitation in the system resource. You might try to reduce the
dimensions of the picture and see what happens.

Since you can see where the images are placed by the outlines, can you
select the images? Try selecting one - maybe by drawing a selection
rectangle - and then changing it's properties:
Select Format on the menu
Select Picture
under Effects - check to see if the Transparency is at or near 100%.
Change to 0% and click OK.

If this helps, then the work around is to change the way you insert objects
in the drawings. Instead of using Copy/Paste - use Insert Object instead.
Let me know if that helps!
