images problem

There are some images that I can see the images on my computer through the
website but no one else can. I know this is because I'm the host and have
the images on my computer. I've re-uploaded all the images but that didn't
work. I'm wondering if I should change the html coding ie
<body link="#0066FF" vlink="#6633CC" bgcolor=whit
background="file:///C:\Documents%20and%20Settings\HP_Administrator\My%20Documents\2007%20bellies\index_files\image334.jpg"
style='margin:0'> so that the photo is taken right from my 'images' folder.
I can seem to find the exact coding to use. Can any one help with getting
the coding just right?
All the other photos with the \image\xxx.gif work fine.

Donna,

It is unclear from your post, but if you are not hosting you website, but
uploading it to a webhost, then perhaps the response I just posted to Phil
is also your solution:

"It sounds like you may be using a Master Page? If you place images on a
Master Page then you can end up with the path pointing to the C drive on
your computer. Don't use a Master page in a Publisher website. Its also
possible that instead of inserting and embedding your images into your Pub
page, that you linked to them from where the images reside on your C drive.
If you do this, then those images will not be uploaded. And since you said
that you can't see the other pages, that would imply that you did not upload
the index_files folder that contains the other pages, and is supposed to
contain the supporting graphics. Look to those three things and hopefully
you'll see where you are going wrong."

Also how are you putting in your background image for the page? Did you put
it on the Master Page?

if i were you i would upload your images to a server - it doesnt have to be
expensive - geocities allows free acounts etc, and insert a html code
fragment using the <img src> tag for simple images or for linked images use
the <a href> tag to locate the pictures on the web. it will ensure that your
site will load quicker and you can manually control where your website
recalls these images from
