Images showing up as all black

Hello,

I am using a Macbook running the latest version of Office 2004 (just
updated it last week) on OSX 10.4.10, and I am having a strange
issue. With some documents I open up, where images should be, it will
instead be a black square. Additionally, when I choose Insert >
Picture > From File... the picture it pastes into the document shows
up as all black. The kicker is, it prints out fine, as the image it
is intended to be.

This is a problem because I often get documents from clients that will
have pictures on them, and now I can't see what any of the pictures/
logos are. Any help will be much appreciated!

Word is a bit paraplegic when it comes to transparency aka alpha
channels.

Well, you know what to do. Print the snivellers.
If you are in a hurry, and don't want to contribute to global warming,
print to PDF as postscript then use Preview.app to create a PDF from
that.
