IMAGES THAT DO NOT APPEAR IN EMAIL

I have WIN XP PRO and MS OFFICE 2003.
Outlook is ocnifgured to us WORD as its editor.

When I create a new document opening WORD I can see any image I INSET into
the document.

When I create a NEW EMAIL from OUTLOOK, using WORD as the EDITOR, the same
images that I INSERT show up as a WHITE BOX.

What do I need to configure within MS OUTLOOK in orde that it use WORD as
its EDITOR and show properly the IMAGES?
