IMAP Folder Options Grayed Out?

Hello all,

My boss is having an issue, so I wanted to ask everyone here before I called corporate IT... I have personally never seen this issue before.

We have corporate IMAP email accounts. The problem he is having is that Outlook 2003 is only downloading the message headers when he wants it to download the entire message. He has to manually mark each message to be completely downloaded.

When I go to Send/Receive groups and try to select "Download entire message including attachments", all of the options are grayed out and cannot be selected.

What gives?

If the account was set up by corporate IT support and they have placed limitations (GPOs) on how mail is handled, then they are the ones to contact about the issue.
