I have several customers running IMAP mail servers and using Outlook as mail
client. This problem applies to at least Outlook 2002 and 2003. Creating a
new temporary PST file for the IMAP server connection assumes ALL folders are
incoming folders, even the SENT items.
Adding the To: field to the current view does not display who the message
was to and the Date sent does not show up until the message is fully
downloaded (defeating the object of IMAP server).
I have found reference to registry entry IMAP Use Full Headers, but setting
the IMAP key as described in KB article ID 328281 does not seem to make any
difference to the headers recieved/processed by Outlook. The problem does not
exist when using Eudora/Pegasus/Thunderbird etc.
Does anyone have any experience of this problem and a suitable resolution
will be great.
