Hi,
in Outlook 2003, as far as I know, when you search a string (an email
address, or text in a mail body, etc.) in a folder for an IMAP account,
Outlook only searches *locally*, i.e. on messages which have been
downloaded on the local computer because you opened them; it does not
search on messages which, despite being on the server in the same IMAP
folders you subscribed, have not been downloaded locally.
Is there a way to do a search on ALL messages contained in the
subscribed folders? Something like a "search on IMAP server" command?
Or is it unavoidable to resort to external IMAP search facilities?
Thanks.
