IME

As with Word 2003, the IME setting is switched at very inconvenient times in
Word 2007. When you do a search in English, for example, the IME switches
back to Japanese making it *very* difficult to get any work done. There seems
to be multiple stages at where the IME switch is made.

Hi Benjamin,

You may want to use the link below to also post in the Word International features discussion group and provide additional
information on the documents you're using, the enabled languages and the version and updates for Windows that you have.

If you have specific steps in creating a document and then how you're searching so others can try to duplicate the problem, that can
also be helpful.

When the IME language is set to Japanese and you are typing in English, the
IME jumps to Japanese automatically when you do certain functions from a
right click (such as use the thesaurus) in Word 2003.

In Word 2007, the problem is much worse. The IME switches when you do a
search and replace (switching to Japanese for the search box and then again
for the replace box) and lots of other times as well.
