iMovie and Powerpoint

Can I convert animated powerpoint slides to an iMovie format? I love
the flexibility of powerpoint slides but need to create a movie that can
be viewed on TV either in VHS format or DVD. Please help!

For what little it's worth, I thought I'd point out another thread
currently running in this newsgroup (to which I recently posted a
query). This thread has to do with problems encountered trying to
create a move from a PowerPoint presentation. In the current
PowerPoint from Office .X for MacOS X there is an option to save a
..ppt file as a movie in .mov format. I have opened such a movie in
iMovie, so you should be able to do so. (The tricky part--for me, at
any rate--is getting the option to save as a movie to succeed.
