Implementation for users pre-Windows XP

Hi,
We're having some difficulty with users that are not running Windows XP
because they are required to have MDAC 2.6 or higher installed on their
machines, which is standard in Windows XP but not in Windows 2000. When we
tried to install install MDAC 2.6/2.7 from the Microsoft website provided
some challenges so we were forced to install from a SQL Server CD. When we
deploy to the organization this solution will not work. Has anyone
experienced this problem?

Firstly, you must use 2.7 or higher. I strongly recommend 2.8. What is your
problem with downloading the MDAC version and installing it?

We downloaded and installed 2.8 but hte problemw as that it wouldn't extract
-- gave us some kind of error.
