Implementation of facility to remove selected messages from server

I've just migrated from Mac to Windows, and am currently using Office 2003.
One thing which I loved in Outlook Express for the Mac, and which I miss in
Outlook, is the ability to select which messages you would like to remove
from the remote (POP3) server, without having to delete them locally (as with
Outlook 2003).

Is anyone aware of the existence of an add-in which would add such
funcitonality, or whether it can be implemented in VB (I'm savvy with VB
programming).
