I hope the subject text is short enough, but I don't know how to tell
until after I post this.
Question: do I need to do a recalculate hyperlinks between my
import and subsequent publish of a new pdf file from
my local PC to FP2003 on my local PC before I do a
publish to my online web site?
I'm trying to import a pdf file from my local PC into a folder in my
FP2003 web. In FP2000 I just highlighted the folder in FP2000, se-
lected "import" from the file (menu), used add to select the pdf
file id on my local PC, and when it completed I did a recalculate
Hyperlinks and then a Publish for 'changed pages only'.
Since I've had problems with minor changes between FP2k and
FP2003, I tried to read to find out just what recalculate hyper-
links does in FP2003? I'm concerned because the name of this
pdf file in my FP folder does NOT change across the import,
only the contents of the file change. Is FP2003 going to know
what I've done if I don't do a recalculate all hyperlinks?
I think I'm going to love FP2003... when I get caught up I plan
to get rid of shared borders, theme, and garbage files from my
existing FP2000 web at URL www.regischurch.com .
Any help someone could provide would be appreciated.
P.S. I'm running WinXP/SP1 on a Server with FP extensions. I
have done 2 successful 'publish' runs since installing
FP2003.
