Import appt in text form?

Newbie question:

I've recently started using Outlook for my calendar/appointment manager.
Works fine. I do NOT use it for my email, as I still use Pegasus.

I work with some people who use Outlook for calendar & mail. They send
meeting notices out in a specific format. I assume these can be dragged
and dropped from the Outlook inbox to the Outlook calendar, if you read
them in Outlook.

Is there any way to copy the text in my mailer and import them into Outlook
in text form? I can just type it by hand, but it would be nice to be able
to automate it a bit.
