Import contacts from Outlook 2004 (win) to Entourage (mac)

Hi everyone.

I experience difficulties importing contact from Outlook 2004 on my pc
into Entourage on my intel-mac. The file I exported in Outlook 2004 is
a "winmail.dat" and the Import-wizard in Entourage does not recognise
the file.

Can anyone help me on this? I have 300 contacts and I cant spend hours
adding them manually.
Thanks in advance!

Best regards,
Baard

Hi Baard,

Outlook2Mac -- $10 -- http://www.littlemachines.com/

There are other ways (most straightforward is to export from Outlook as
a tab-delimited or Excel file) but this is easiest.

Of course, if you use Exchange, there is no step 3.

Select the contacts in Outlook. Find the "forward as vcard" menu item.
I forget which menue it's in but it is in there since I did a couple of
weeks ago. Then either send the resuling large email to your mac or
(better) drag the vcards out of the mail into a folder on the PC (it
will take a while if lots of contacts) desk top and transfer this
folder by whatever means you like to the Mac. Drag the vcards into the
contacts pane of entourage. Thats it. I did it with 1000+ contacts the
other day.

Cheers
