I am trying to import a custom number (NDC-National Drug Code) 00000-0000-00
from an Excel 2007 file to Access 2007 Table. I need the custom number to
appear as text in the Access Table. I will need a step by step procedure as I
am not proficient in VBA or SQL if needed.

Delete all of the data except one line from a copy of the spreadsheet.
Replace that custom # data with "OoBaby" or some other string that is
clearly text.

Import that spreadsheet, and at the end of that import process, save the
import specifications. This is one of the last steps. Delete the bogus
data from your table, then import the spreadsheet with your previously
saved import spec.

If that does not work, do the same thing except export the spreadsheet
copy and final to CSV, no text qualifier, and import the CSV versions,
saving the first import spec and using it with the final copy.

This should get your data in.
