I was wondering about the impact on a ms sql server in regards to using the
Import and ODBC Databases () in Access 2003. I am infrequently copying down a
basic table of 900 rows and 30 cols. A corruption of data has occurred in the
table I was accessing on the sql server and I am wondering can the Access
import be responsible. Access wasn't interrupted (no errors).
The corruption happened on one particular column. It was just a text field.
Some of the text capitalised or was replaced by text from other columns.
I would have considered importing from sql server into access was a harmless
and simple task which I have being doing for quite some time but I'm finding
it difficult to convince the sql server db manager that.
Could a save to the sql server the same time as I imported cause it?
Any ideas greatly appreciated?
