Import data from web

I work in a call center. we have all of our calls recorded and we can access
the total calls for the day via a website.
everyday, i access the site. pull the calls and export into excel (as that
is the only option for output). then i import the excel in access to
manipulate data.
What i would like to do is just go straight through access to obtain the
info from the website. can this be done through the external data? if so how?
the site of course has a password, and drop down menu, and date parameters.
can i make access automate this process?

Hi kr,

How are the calls on the website stored? Are they in a database or xml file?

Also, what type website do you have? PHP, ASP, ASP.Net, or plain HTML?

Best Regards

Its stored in a database. the program is switchvox. I pull the data by data.
what i have to go to the site everday (or so) sign in, go to the menu, select
date, and output to excel. just wanting to simplify as i am giving the
process info to others. if i could access and query somehow. dont' know if
i'm even making sense, but let me know if possible.

I can't help you with Switchvox except to tell what you can try.

You can talk to someone at the company that sold Switchvox to your company.
Switchvox can use a number of different databases. You may be able to go
online and ask your question in a forum on their web page.

I hope you get the help you need.
