Import Data to Publisher 2003 document

I am working with a company daily news document. I have a section in the
document for our company safety statistics. These stats may change on a
daily basis. I have the stats in an excel spreadsheet. It has a macro that
uploads them to an SQL table and then our Intranet home page uses ASP code to
get the stats from the table and display them on our home page. I want these
same stats to display in the Daily news displayed from a link on our
Intranet. The Daily news is maintained with MS Publisher and each day a PDF
is refreshed after changes are entered. We don't want to type in the stats
each day since they are readily available. I know SQL, Visual Basic, ASP,
and macros (beginner). HELP!
