Import Excel 2003 files to Outlook 2007 Contacts

After adding Outlook 2007, can't master the transfer of Access files to
Outlook 2007 Contacts. Export to Excel 2007, then converting to Excel 2003
file works, but import to Contacts is blocked by error in the "translation"
system.

Can your copy of outlook export anything? Some standalone versions are
missing the import/export tools.

Can Export E-mail addresses individualy and with distribution lists.
Problem is trying to import new lists to add or replace existing Contact
lists. Worked very well with Outlook 2003.
Understand files must be converted to Excel 2003 but cannot seem to get the
" name range" to allow Import to Contacts

See http://www.slipstick.com/Tutorials/import/import.htm for the steps to
create a named range.

Thank you for your help - slight delay in getting back, due to Hurricane Fay.
All OK here.
Followed the "slipstick" tutorial with a new copy Excel file. All goes well
with new file name showing on file to import and proper destination. Next
wizard window "actions" shows an old file name to be imported, not the range
name used and when checking "map custom fields" does not show the right data.
Can not remove old file name from wizard even though old file has been sent
to Recycle.
