import excel contact list into outlook

I have problem when I import data into excel contacts. I have a list of
contacts with phone numbers, names and emails. However even i tried to match
all these items into the correct field of the pre-generated contact list
format it does not import. i have 0 contacts in the outlook since it is a new
PC. how can I import all the contacts in an excel into the outlook?

Try this... create one contact in Outlook and export the Contacts folder to
an XLS file. Use that XLS file as the guidepost for creating/crafting your
import file

Most likely issue for 0 contacts being imported is the Excel "Named Range"
in use - ergo - it is incorrect and does not include the rows you want to
import. If you have manually mapped the fields from the Excel file to
Outlook - the problems will have nothing to do with field names in use.

Not familiar with Excel "Named Ranges"? If so, simply save the worksheet as
a CSV file and import the CSV file instead avoiding the "Named Range" issue
altogether.
