Import Excel data as Visio shape names

Hello,
I have an Excel document that I essentially want to Visio-fy: I want to
create a collection of Visio shapes, each labeled with the text from each
selected cell in the Excel spreadsheet. I am working in Visio 2003. Is this
possible?

Bonus points: Ideally I'd like to be able to create some sort of compound
shape, where, say, the value of cell A1 populates one section and cell B1
populates another. (Kind of like how a UML object has multiple properties
that can be displayed.) But I think that may be getting way ahead of my Visio
capabilities.

Using Visio 2003, you might try Tools > Add-Ons > Building Plan > Import
Data followed by Tools > Add-Ons > Building Plan > Label Shapes. It should
get you close.

This is a standard scenario for Visio 2007. You can easily connect to your
data, link it to shapes and see it displayed graphically on the page. Start
