Interesting - on researching I found that this problem was reported once
where the root issue was double quotes in the data fields.
Review your data set to see if there are any non-AlphaNumeric characters in
the data, or test with the Visio sample data file found (by default) at
'C:\Program Files\Microsoft office\Visio11\Samples\1033\ORGDATA.XLS'.
(Substitute the proper language code for 1033 if your installation is not
English).

A few months ago I was able to create an org. chart from an excel file.
When
I tried it today I get the error message "cannot read names". Can anyone
help? I am using excel and vison 2003.
