import/export contacts

Hi All;

I seem to have a problem that I can not resolve. On my
laptop import/export of contacts do not seem to work. I
am travelling and do not have access to the original CDs
to reload office. What I need to know is what the file
name is for the contacts and the directory it is stored
in. I will then copy it to another computer and then try
to merge them

Any help you can provide will be great
