Import/ Export wizard freezes program

I am trying to import a *.csv list of contacts into my
Outlook 2000 but when I give the file location in the
wizard and press next the whole outlook program freezes
and I have to close it from the Task Manager.
I've tried running a repair, downloading service packs etc
but it still does it. Anybody got any ideas.
