Hello,

we are having difficulties in importing an html page into excel. this html
page has been extracted from sage line 50. the html columns are not being
imported correctly into excel columns. for some rows they have been imported
correctly, for others however they have not.

Are there any specifics ways of importing html tables via a wizard or
third-party software?

Also has anyone ever exported a nominal activity from sage line 50 into
excel?

I am not familiar with your "sage line 50".
However, depending on the exact syntax of the html, it is possible that
it may or may not be imported well in Excel.
Things like rowspan and colspan tend to break stuff. Also, <br> or <p>
or other line breakers inside a cell cause havoc. And so on.

Remember, html is a document display filetype, not a database filetype.
I don't know what your options are, but the ideal solution would be to
use XML. You get your data in an XML file, which is actually a
flat-ASCII database file with a special format. You can then use this
XML file as a source for an (X)HTML file, for display, or query/import
it in Excel, for calculations.
