Error message (-40) and (2) occurred while trying to import from Entourage X to Entourage 08. I can see my 4Gig Database file in Finder - Microsoft User Data / Office X Identities / Main Identity /Database file.

How do I get Office 08 to import my last 7 years worth of emails & attachments?

Thanks Mike

Error message (-40) and (2) occurred while trying to import from Entourage X
to Entourage 08. I can see my 4Gig Database file in Finder - Microsoft User
Data / Office X Identities / Main Identity /Database file.

Error -40 is a positioning error (tried to position before start of file).
This might indicate file system corruption. Try running Apple's Disk
Utility: First Aid and repairing the disk till it shows clean.

It could be your Identity is too full. Check the Microsoft Component Plugin
in the Office X --> Office folder and see it it's 10.1.9.

Can you open your Entourage X Identity? If yes, then you can manually move
your data out and import it into Entourage 2008.

How to manually move your data. (when import fails and/or you need to move
to a new Identity same version or revert to an older version)

As a consultant I have been very successful in recovering Entourage X
Identities if the user wasn't able to recover. To contact me off list, use
