Hi all,
Thanks in advance. I am trying to import data, either through a pivot table
or just a plain data dump, and I am continually getting the same issue. I
have a column I created in a Access query that specifies a data type, either
finance or resource. When I try to import this either way, the value I
manually put in the the query is removed and is replaced with a value already
in existance in the query (in my case, I am summing values in another column
and Excel is replicating the summed value on import).
Because of this, when creating a pivot table I am told that there are too
many variables, and when doing a straight import, I get the summed values
explained above. Is there a known gap for this since I am creating this
field on the fly? I dont get it.
Thanks!
