Import memo fields from Excel spreadsheet

I have a table created in Access with several fields set up as field type
"memo". When I import data from Excel, not all of the corresponding data
from the Excel sheet is being copied into the memo field in Access. For
example, for one item only 209 characters of a total of 469 characters
imported into Access.

Any ideas of what is happening here, and what I can do to correct it? Thanks!
