Hi there,
I had some problems when I updated my XP SP 1 with the new SP2. Therefore I
decided to format my C partition (windows) and begin with a clean os.
Ofcourse I downloaded all the updates, my pc is up to date right now.
A thing that I did was: backup my current outlook express e-mail accounts.
I followed this:
Data about your mail and news accounts are stored in the registry key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Account Manager. To save this
data, start RegEdit and select that key in the left-hand pane. Then from the
menu select Registry | Export Registry File. Save the file to a name like
"outlook.reg".
Restore (if necessary) To restore the account settings, right-click the
..REG file and select Merge.
And ofcourse I tried to restore it back on the new install with SP2.
All my accounts can indeed be found at the registry key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Account Manager.
But I can't find them when I open Outlook Express and look for the old
accounts.
Anyone know the solution to this?
