Import Org Chart Data Mastershapes

I am using an excel spreadsheet to build org chart data which I have
successfully imported using the wizard. I want to use diferent shapes for
different groups/categories of members in the organisation. I created the
original spreadsheet by exporting an org chart to excel which created a field
called "Master_shape" in excel. I presume I can use this to control what
shape is used for each member of my org chart. What I can't find is how the
numbers in this field influence the shapes in Visio. Can anyone help me with
this or point me in the right direction?
