Import Outlook Contacts

My hard drive crashed but I had a back up on an external hardirve that was
performed by Bounceback Express. I bought a new computer with Vista,
installed Outlook 2007 and imported the PST file from the back up. I have
actually imported it both ways 1) using the import function in Outlook and 2)
by copying the PST file to the hard drvie (made sure read only was not
checked in the properties) and then opened the file as an Outlook Data File.

PROBLEM: All my email was restored but none of my Contacts. How do I find
my contacts and get them restored as well?

Help.

Russ,

How do I tell if I have a good back up? I searched the external hardrive
for all PST files and found 5. I have copied all of them to see if it would
work but still no contacts.

If you had opened a valid backup your Contacts would be there. So either
your backup was not valid or you connected to it improperly. (Importing, for
example, would never be the way to connect to your previous data file.)
Do you still have a good backup file somewhere?

If you have opened every PST file in Outlook that you have and find no
Contacts, then you did not create a good backup. Where is your original PST
file and why don't you open it?
