Hello,

I would like to import data into Excel in the following manner and
would love to hear whether this is possible, and how I would go about
it.

I have a file with a list of names in one column and two unique
identifiers for each individual in two other columns (one text, the
other numerical). Let's call this the roster file.

I have a second file with a subset of the names in the roster file,
and at least one column of identifiers, and an additional column with
a score for each of the names in the list. I'll call this the score
file. (In reality I will have several score files, each with a
different subset of names).

Is there a way to bring in the data from the score file into the
roster file, and have the scores applied to the correct people? I.e.,
since there is only a subset of the roster names in the score file,
there will be places where a score of zero or no entry should be
assigned. Does this make sense?

I will need to do this repeatedly with many score files in the next
two months. Any help with this task would be greatly appreciated.
