Been seeing a number of these "empties" coming through lately - more so than
usual. In fact, I got a direct email from one poster who claimed that one of
*my* messages came through that way. Related to the server?

I would say it's gotta be... There's no text partition in the message
source at all. To me, that's a classic case of a database app failing to
retrieve the child record :)
