Import single record from an Excel table to an Access Data Base

I would like to use a funtion like "Vlookup" linking an Excel Table to an
Access Table in a manner to have a single value for each Access record.
Access does not have a Buid in function like this and it forces the user to
choose a value from a table. Well I want it to be fully automatic.
How can I achive this without using a Macro ?

Hi Rem,

One way is to use a linked table to access the Excel data (File|Get
External Data|Link) and then use a query that joins the linked table and
the existing Access table.
