import single record set from one Access BD to second DB

I would like to import specific fields from a SINGLE recordset in an
Engineering database to a separate Marketing Database as an appended
recordset to my main table. The idea here is that Engineering has quoted a
product. Once that product is quoted and accepted, then Marketing needs to
use SOME of the information in order to create and track the new part. If I
can import a single recordset's fields, then I would not have to manually
input all the Engr. data into the Marketing recordset.
I wanted to do this via a macro where I insert a Primary Key of the Engr.
Recordset into the macro. The macro pulls out the Engr. recordset and appends
to my Marketing table. I am unable to get started. Any help is appreciated.
I realize it would be best to have a single DB, but this is what I
inherited. Thanks for the assist to this intermediate neophite user!

I apologize, but I don't know how to link databases. Can you point me in the
right direction? Thank you.

Okay - click on FILE, click on GET EXTERNAL DATA, LINK TABLES. Browse to the
correct folder/file and click it - follow prompts.

After you link to it, go to your Query designer and make it the data source
for a query. Select Query from the menu across the top, select Append Query.
You can indicate the criteria in the query.

Why not just link to the engineering database and run an append query that
has the criteria?
