Import Spreadsheet Wizard - Subscript out of range error

I receive a "Subscript out of range" error message when trying to import an
Excel spreadsheet into a new table in Access. I can't find any reference to
this issue in any help or knowledge base. What could be the problem and how
do I resolve this issue? I am working with Office 2003 products with all
current updates.
