Import to link table

I have a link table "SALESSD" from an ACCESS.mdb back end.

I tried to import an Excel file using the codes below. It does not work in
my FE.mdb.

DoCmd.TransferSpreadsheet acImport, 8, "SALESSD", "c:\rmdb\salesrm", True,
"sheet1!a:s"

However, using the same code above in the back end mdb, I was able to
import. I am using Access 2003

Appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.
