import vcard (from lotus notes) only first contact comes in; help

I'm trying to convert contacts from lotus notes (v7) into outlook. I created
a vcf (vcard) file but outlook only brings in the first contact. I'm not
married to this approach to export(lotus)/import(outlook) so any suggestions
on how to get all contacts brought over is appreciated Thanks, Randolph

I don't think Outlook can import multiple contacts from a vCard file. Can
you export the data from Notes in any other formats?

Vince...thanks for the feedback...I've tried exporting from Notes to 123 then
converting (save as) 123 to excel and importing excel into Outlook but that
only brings in about 5 fields from the basic Notes Contacts view...not all
the fields. In the meanwhile I searched the Outlook database further and
found a reference to a product sold by Sperry Software called VCard Converter
Add-in for MS-Outlook and it refers to the fact that native outlook will only
pick up the first card in a vcf/vcard file. They claim to be able to bring in
the whole file using that add-on but it's not 100% clear that it will work
from the write up
(www.sperrysoftware.com/outlook/microsoft-vcard-converter.asp) plus I'd
rather not spend $24.95 for an add on when I just got this brand new machine
and I'm trying to sunset my old one. Any further suggestions is appreciated,
Randolph

Use Notepad to break the vCard file into separate vCard files, one per
contact.

Brian...good idea and I'd thought of that but was trying to avoid the carpal
tunnel :). But since I'm so cheap that I wont put down the 24.95, I guess
I'll find some spared time to parse the 500 contacts in my list into separate
files. Thanks for taking the time to respond. Randolph
