import works database

Hello,

I have a simple MS Works database, I would like to convert it to MS Access.
I cannot find how to do it!

Am I missing something obvious, (these are both MS products).

One would think that because Works and Access are Microsoft products, that
they would be able to *talk* to each other! Unfortunately, that is not the
case. You will need to export the data in your Works database to a format
that is readable by Access; for example, csv (comma-separated values) text
file. Then, import the text file(s) into Access tables

Hi

I am new to Access, have beeu using Works 4.5

To transfer, this is what I did.
Open Access and create a new database , I created a new
Table. Then I re-named all the fields to match the older works
database. Next I saved this . Next I opened the works database and
selected all and went to copy and then pasted all to the Access .

Try and let me know.

Nathan
